Kuala Lumpur, 10 February 2021 – Malaysians intending to study and receive on-the-job training simultaneously in Germany can start preparing themselves through the Dual Vocational Training (DVT) programme.

This programme takes shape in an apprentice training method which allows students to decide what type of jobs they are interested in, that will then lead to securing their on-the-job training with an organisation in Germany.

This pathway for students is becoming increasingly popular as students get the opportunity to not only learn theoretical knowledge from attending classes at vocational school, but they will also earn an allowance during their entire apprenticeship period. Students are encouraged to apply once they have completed their Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM), Sijil Kemahiran Malaysia (SKM) or Diploma.

Jonathan Lau, German Educare Director, said The DVT programme is a pillar of Germany’s economic success and offers its graduates a high chance of job placement upon completion, as well as a start to their career within the technical industries of Europe.

“The DVT programme was launched to highlight the skills gap in various vocational and technical fields in Germany, and how the country’s economy and government are extremely open to foreign talent to fill these positions.

“We aim to help pair talented Malaysian students with leading companies in Germany, and set them up for success through language classes, cultural training workshops, visa applications, post-arrival assistance and more.”

In fact, there are more than 80% of large companies in Germany hiring apprentices, according to Clean Energy Wire. DVT graduates are highly sought after in Germany as they are skilled in technical expertise and theoretical knowledge. The DVT qualification is also recognised by most countries in the European Union.

The DVT July 2021 intake is now open! There are limited slots available, so students who wish to enrol in the programme can do so today.

Students can also book a free consultation with German Educare and a dedicated team will be able to advise the best options for you. Visit www.germaneducare.com to learn more about our other preparation programmes.
