KUALA LUMPUR, 27 JUNE 2023 – Calling all cat lovers! CapitaLand is giving you a platform to flaunt your feline companion at The MEOW Fiesta 2023, happening at The Mines, Seri Kembangan, from 29 June to 2 July and at 3 Damansara, Petaling Jaya, from 7 July to 9 July.
Besides touring around to watch the various breeds in action, avid cat connoisseurs are also invited to participate in The Mines FFF MEOWSome International Cat Show and 3 Damansara’s CFA International Cat Show & National MEOW Championship, where the participants’ furry friends will be evaluated based on their appearance, temperament, and hygiene by 15 international and three (3) local judges.
Together with Kelab Meow United, and in collaboration with Feline Fanciers’ Association (FFA) and Cat Fanciers’ Association (CFA), The Mines and 3 Damansara have curated an array of exciting activities for the beautiful felines and their paw-rents.
If this is your first time attending or participating in a cat show, here are some of the event highlights to look out for!
MEOW Fiesta Bazaar
If you plan to purchase the purr-fect cat merchandise or cool-cat gifts, then you will be in for a treat. The MEOW Fiesta Bazaar will feature curated pet vendors such as maoCATfe, YT Cat Teasers, SK Organic Cat Food, Purrfect Sister Cat and FGU for you to shop and spoil your paw-besties.
Cat Adoption Drive
Adopting is the way to go compared to buying pets from breeders. The Mines and 3 Damansara will be setting up cat adoption booths if you wish to give a second chance to the felines living in shelters. Remember when you adopt, you also play a part in saving their lives!
The Mines Petting Zoo & Kids Activities (29 June – 2 July)
Why don’t you seize this opportunity and bring your little ones to the petting zoo? Both adults and kids will stand a chance to pet and feed small, adorable animals such as rabbits, guinea pigs and hamsters. The Mall has also arranged for kids’ activities such as face-painting, special appearance by mingling clowns with balloon sculpting acts and free kid’s art & craft workshops to cheer up the surrounding.
The Mines & 3 Damansara International Cat Championship
The highlight of the Meow Fiesta is of course the International Cat Championship! And if this is your first time in a cat competition, be ready to witness a hyper atmosphere with elaborately decorated cat cages and a variety of pet booths, dotted around the judging area.
- The Mines FFF MEOWSome International Cat Show (1 & 2 July 2023)
The FFF MEOWsome International 6 Rings Show 2023 will be happening on the 1st and 2nd July 2023 at The Mines. Calling for cat owners to come along with your cats and immerse yourself in a world of feline beauty, grace, and agility. It is limited to the participation of 125 cats per day for the comfort and safety of our beloved feline friends as this allows each cat to shine brightly and receive the attention they truly deserve.
The judges of the cat show include Dr. Gan YH, Eddie Fong, Leo Choi, Azhar Mohamad, Ikhsan Maulana and Dr. Sara Umar. Drop by The Mines this weekend where world of cats will come alive in a mesmerising display of beauty and talent.
- 3 Damansara CFA International Cat Show (8 July 2023)
3 Damansara’s Cat Fanciers’ Association (CFA) International Cat Show will be held on 8 July 2023 (Sat) at the Centre Concourse, Ground Floor, 3 Damansara, where the cats will showcase their beauty and talent. The felines will be judged by 6-All Breeds Judges namely Pam DelaBar (Finland), Amanda Cheng (Hong Kong), Russell Webb (US), Allan Raymond (Australia), Mihoko Tsuchiya and Toshihiko Tsuchiya (Japan). The competition is open to both local and international participants.
- 3 Damansara National MEOW Championship (9 July 2023)
Calling all feline enthusiasts and MEOWsome Lovers! Get ready for a purr-fect day of adorable antics and majestic displays at the highly anticipated 3 Damansara National MEOW Championship 2023 (Round 2!) which will be held at the Centre Concourse, Ground Floor, 3 Damansara on 9 July 2023 (Sunday) from 10am – 7pm. For this competition, 3 Damansara is bringing in 6 international judges – Tuti Iskandar and Ruly Yuwono (Indonesia), Vorapon Mantham and Saichol Thanomwong (Thailand), Pam Delabar (Finland) and Russell Webb (United States of America).
