Kuala Lumpur, 26 June 2023 – Syarikat Takaful Malaysia Keluarga Berhad (“Takaful Malaysia” or “Takaful Malaysia Keluarga”), the FIRST takaful operator in Malaysia, through its corporate social responsibility (“CSR”), donated household appliances to sixty-four (64) Asnaf students of Sekolah Kebangsaan Saujana Utama in Sungai Buloh. The donation of home appliances is part of Takaful Malaysia’s community-based activities under the company’s CSR initiative to help underprivileged and eligible Asnaf students and their families receive Zakat aid and improve their quality of life.

Siti Hajar Rizlan, Group Chief Marketing Officer of Takaful Malaysia, said, “As a takaful operator, it is our responsibility to support the underprivileged and the needy in the community. Therefore, donating household appliances to the Asnaf students or the tithe recipients and their families is a program we initiated to provide basic home appliances to those most affected and deserving. We have set aside some allocation of zakat for this program to help purchase selected household appliances for the daily use of the Asnaf students and their families. Each Asnaf student and the family will receive a rice cooker, a stand fan and a stove. Through this initiative, we want to provide convenience and help facilitate the Asnaf students and their families on daily tasks.”
