Selangor, 15 August 2022 – According to recent reports, Malaysia is among the least cyber-secure countries worldwide. It is estimated that cybercrime cases caused a whopping loss of RM 560 million in 2021.
In a move to address this, leading Malaysian cybersecurity firm, Integrated Global Solutions (IGS) recently introduced an all-inclusive coverage against cyber threats and attacks. With the new line-up of offerings, Malaysian enterprises can safeguard themselves against unwanted attacks and threats, such as ransomware, malware, phishing, and more.

One of the solutions provided by IGS, cyber threat intelligence, would enable enterprises access to information about existing and incoming cyber threats. Key raw data are collected, processed, and analysed to understand a threat perpetrator’s motives, targets, and attack behaviours. This data is then used to prepare, prevent, and identify cyber threats looking to exploit valuable assets. These measures are done proactively rather than reactively and the data collected would be analyzed as well as filtered to create threat intel feeds and reports that contain pertinent information that can be used by automated security control solutions.

An organization’s vulnerability, according to Ang, means that any attacks on the business would result in significant losses, hence it is advisable to take the ‘prevention is better than cure’ approach. Having cyber security programs and mechanisms in place to protect data is crucial and in every organization’s interest.
