Singapore Top SMEs Flourishes Against the Odds

Singapore, 23 November 2021 -2021 is the year of ‘innovation and adaptability’ as the pandemic pushed SMEs to alter their business plans and strategies to sustain growth and thrive during the economic crisis and lockdown. This immense pressure has caused many SMEs to change their business operations drastically to survive or even close their operations.

Despite the challenging environment faced by SMEs, 27 Singaporean SMEs have emerged as winners of the SME100 Awards. They were among the 450 Singaporean companies that were in the selection of becoming the SME100 Fast Moving Companies of 2021. Among stand-out recipients were Alliance Divine Impex Pte Ltd, CAC Logistics Services Pte Ltd, Energy Wave Worldwide Pte Ltd and Ingenious Business Software Pte Ltd.

This year, SME100 continues to adopt one of the most stringent evaluation criteria for all nominees. The five-step process included both qualitative and quantitative analysis, as well as a 100 percent interview requirement with a focus on growth (turnover, profit, and market share) and resilience (best practices, sustainability, and vision). The award is organised by SME Magazine, with AMCHAM and ORBA as supporting organizations. Crowe Singapore continues to serve as official auditors.

SME100 introduces the SME100 Best Start-up category that recognises outstanding companies established not more than two years in the market. They are evaluated based on their business overview, plan, and total workforce. The winners for 2021 are:
