PETRONAS’ Inaugural FutureTalks To Draw Industry Thought Leaders

Kuala Lumpur, 19 November 2021 – PETRONAS is bringing together local and international industry thought leaders on PETRONAS FutureTalks to engage in a series of conversations on energy transition, as the world shifts towards a low-carbon future.

The dialogue session from 23-24 November 2021 will see the best minds from governments, industry players, investors and innovators deep dive into the theme ‘Stewardship in Energy Transition’. They will be sharing their insights and perspectives on various sustainability topics amid an accelerated energy transition, highlighting the decisive roles of technology and innovation in this journey.

PETRONAS FutureTalks consists of six panel discussions: Energy Transition and Climate Change – Can we move faster?; Digital Ingenuity for Business Sustainability; R&D to Unlock New Opportunities for Sustainability and Accelerating Energy Transition; Talent Development for R&D – Building new types of capability and venturing out from core business; From Ideas to Reality – The innovation process and business excellence; and Facilitating Investment of Innovation and Digitalisation in Malaysia.

Participating in the discussions will be Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department for Economic Affairs, Dato’ Sri Mustapa Mohamed, PETRONAS President and Group CEO, Datuk Tengku Muhammad Taufik, as well as leaders from multinationals and institutions including Bursa Malaysia, PT Pertamina, AmBank Berhad, Microsoft Malaysia, AWS Professional Services, Shopee Malaysia, Aker Solutions, Telekom Malaysia, Tenaga Nasional Berhad, Temasek International, Imperial College London, PTT Exploration, Production, Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team, McKinsey & Company, and PETRONAS.
