Royal Selangor has added more exciting collectibles to the hugely successful Star Wars collection, an on-going collaboration with The Walt Disney Company Southeast Asia!
This time around the focus is on the elements that bring the Saga’s epic battle scenes to life.
Paying homage to the fast-paced dogfights between the First Order and the Resistance is the articulated T-70 X-Wing model. Perched on an angled stand, it is poised to engage the TIE Fighter in fierce aerial combat.
True-to-movie details such as the distinctive S-foil configuration, sleek wing tip cannons and unique split engines are featured in this sculpted design. Its slim blade-like wings can be opened, revealing the signature ‘X’ formation.
The gorilla-inspired AT-M6 which went head on against the serried trenches and rusting turret guns of the Resistance in Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi makes its appearance in this edition of collectibles. The mechanical details of the heavy braces, knee joint covers, laser cannons and armour are meticulously recreated, evoking the seemingly unstoppable quality of the fearsome walker of the First Order.
The heart-stopping aftermath after the dramatic lightsaber duel between Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader in Cloud City, Bespin is immortalised in a limited edition diorama. The Sith Lord, rendered in fine detail, stretches out his hand beseechingly, intent on persuading his long lost son to surrender to the dark side.
Luke’s determined expression and stance, following the catastrophic loss of his hand, is carefully captured, as he finds himself between life as Vader’s protégé or plunge to an almost certain death in Bespin’s hostile atmosphere.
