Multi-disciplinary and Comprehensive Approach to Care

Endo Care @ Thomson takes a multidisciplinary approach to endometriosis care, bringing  together expert specialists to provide comprehensive diagnosis, personalised treatment, and  management.

Datuk Dr Mohd Hamzah Kamarulzaman explained this in depth, saying, “Endometriosis isn’t  just a reproductive disorder; it can invade the lungs and diaphragm, causing sudden lung  collapse, internal bleeding, and severe breathing difficulties. This often-misdiagnosed  condition, known as Thoracic Endometriosis Syndrome (TES), can be debilitating. When  medication fails, life-changing intervention is possible through minimally invasive video  assisted thoracoscopic surgery performed by a cardiothoracic surgeon. Combined with post

operative hormonal therapy, this approach offers the best chance at preventing recurrence  and restoring quality of life. Awareness is critical, early diagnosis and the right treatment can  be the difference between suffering in silence and reclaiming one’s health.”

Thomson Fertility is proud to partner with MyEndosis, the only registered patient advocacy  group for endometriosis in Malaysia. Surita Mogan, representing MyEndosis, reinforced  the power of advocacy and community, stating, “Raising awareness is crucial. By working  together, we can amplify our voices and ensure that women receive the support and care they  deserve.”

With this groundbreaking initiative, Thomson Fertility continues to pave the way for innovative  and patient-focused reproductive healthcare solutions in Malaysia.
