AKB48 Sister Groups’ Premier Virtual Concert!

Kuala Lumpur, 1 June 2020  — The much awaited JAPAN EXPO MALAYSIA  2020 (JEMY 2020)  is set to comeback with the same vigour on a virtual platform  from  18th (Saturday)-19th July(Sunday) this year.

The event will be creating history as the “THE FIRST ALL JAPAN VIRTUAL EVENT IN ASIA”. There will be back to back entertainment and mind-blowing performances by the brilliant artistes. Guess who is joining this spectacular concert? That’s none other than the popular JKT48 , the Indonesian idol group and SKE48 , the Japanese idol group from Nagoya! This will be the first ever appearance of  JKT48 and SKE48 together in a concert.

SKE48 AND JKT48  IS SET TO SIZZLE JEMY 2020 GOES VIRTUAL!

After a benchmark performance of the AKB48 last year at Japan Expo Malaysia 2019, the sister groups are set to deliver a smashing performance at JEMY 2020 Goes Virtual! The audience are ensured to be thrilled with the presence SKE48, the first sister group of AKB48  who has a record sale of 11 million CDs in Japan.  The group performs at SKE48 Theater on 2F of Sunshine Sakae, a shopping center in Sakae, NagoyaAvex Group is its current official label.

JKT48 takes its name from the group’s base city of Jakarta, Indonesia. The country was seen as a potential market for the idol business because of its relatively young population and their intense love towards Japanese pop culture. The sister group usually performs songs by AKB48 and other sister groups that are translated to Indonesian.

The live virtual concert has all genre to offer, so get ready for a dazzling performance by Ricky with FSP, the extraodinaire singers who can set your feet tapping with catchy rhythms that  they are. going to render on that day. There will be other jazz musicians joining as well under “Sumida Jazz Festival”.
