After a grueling 2-stage audition process, only 15 beautiful ladies remain in the running to be crowned Mrs. Malaysia Asia International 2017. In its 7th year, the pageant looks to find the next “Mrs” that will be representing Malaysia on the world stage at the ‘Mrs Asia International 2017 Beauty Pageant’ which will be held in Shanghai, China and screened on the renowned China Dragon TV.
Under the tutelage of Pageant Mentor, International Supermodel, Amber Chia, the pageant finalists are discovering just how much there is to learn, and what it takes to get to the world stage. “Pageantry is not only a competition about beauty, but it is also both a process, and a journey that forces you to grow and get out of your comfort zone. Although it may look like it, it is definitely not easy to get up on a catwalk, speak, and perform in front of people – let alone be judged for it. I am truly looking forward to seeing them at the finals in June.” said Amber.
The pageant owners, C&Y Grand Star Communications have also enlisted International Confidence Coach, Nina Ray in order to prepare these ladies for the impending pressure and demands that come with being a pageant title holder as well as a national representative.
“These women have grown together, and have gained a new depth of wisdom, experience, and confidence that can only come from pageantry. But besides just the pageantry part of the competition, Mrs Malaysia International is characteristically an empowered woman who lives to lend a hand to uplift her community of women in which she lives in. Hence the pageant also involves a number of charity initiatives that the finalist will be part and go to benefit the women in our Malaysian community. Coming up next are the charity initiatives which are set to take place on 13 May 2017 with the YWCA.” said Datin Tracy Luo, the organizer & co-owner of the pageant.
Table sales will be up for sale soon, along with a special performance by renowned talent show ‘Mama Mia’ to raise funds for selected women charities in Malaysia which will be revealed soon.
