KUCHING, 24 May 2016 – PETRONAS yesterday launched its Gawai and Kaamatan festive campaign with a special preview of its latest webfilm titled “Siapa Jojo?”

The webfilm was previewed by Kuching-based media practitioners at a special media night held in conjunction with the upcoming Gawai festival.

Set in a longhouse located near a picturesque paddy field in Kanowit, the webfilm tells a story of Anang and her best friends who have traveled to her hometown to experience the Gawaicelebration.

While enjoying the festivities, the friends soon learn a valuable lesson to always appreciate the blessings in life and to never take for granted the hard work of others that has allowed them to enjoy such blessings.

Anang and her friends discover the values and meaning of determination, hard work and gratitude, which encapsulates the essence behind the harvest festival, after Anang’sgrandfather asks the children to take his buffalo to the paddy field.

PETRONAS’ Senior General Manager of Group Strategic Communications, Zahariah (Liza) AbdRahman said,  “For 2017, the PETRONAS Gawai and Kaamatan webfilm highlights a story that reflects the hard work and commitment that leads to a joyous and meaningful celebration with our loved ones.”
