Malaysia, 1 April 2021 – The Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) has announced that it’s mobilising the Community Internet Centres (Pusat Internet Komuniti) throughout the country as registration centres for the National COVID-19 immunisation programme. The move is aimed at assisting the public especially senior citizens who are facing difficulty in registering for the vaccine through MySejahtera.

All full time staff at the internet centres will be on-site to assist with the registration process. To inform the public, there will also be posters about the MySejahtera registration process at the internet centre.

The MCMC hopes that this initiative will help to increase awareness of the importance of getting vaccinated so that more people will register. For those who haven’t sign up, they may do so at their nearest internet centre. There are a total of 873 Community Internet Centres throughout the country.

In case you missed it, Phase 2 of the vaccination programme which covers senior citizens, people with chronic diseases and people with disabilities will commence from 19th April 2021. Eligible recipients will be informed at least two weeks before the scheduled vaccination.

The COVID-19 vaccination is offered for free to everyone in Malaysia including citizens and non-citizens. You can register via MySejahtera, Vaksincovid.gov.my or call in at 1-800-888-828.
