Kuala Lumpur, 21 April 2017 – In conjunction with World Health Day in April, AEON CO. (M) BHD. has organised a series of Zumba Dance gatherings in 18 AEON Malls. The event, which ran from 15 till 23 April 2017 at various locations, drew approximately 3,500 participants from all walks of life.
This event was open to all Malaysian citizens aged between 15 to 60 years old who are in good health and free from any illnesses. All the participants needed to do was to spend RM30 in a single or combination of two receipts on the same day from any participating AEON Stores or tenants at all participating AEON Malls.
“Zumba is an aerobic fitness programme featuring movements inspired by various styles of Latin American dance and it is performed to Latin American dance music. I truly believe the language of dance and music is the most unifying of all. This is evident in the crowd turnout today and the happy faces of these participants,” says Ms Lim Bee Hoon, Assistant General Manager, Business Operation Marketing of AEON CO. (M) BHD.
“At AEON, we would like to encourage everyone to lead an active lifestyle. This ‘Do Active’ activity is just one of the many activities that we have lined up for our loyal customers. We also hope that these fitness events planned by AEON can bring the community together while encouraging a healthier lifestyle,” she added.
This activity was in line with AEON Mall’s tagline of Transforming Every Experience. This Do Active activity is also a Do Fun and Do Exciting day for participants who fully enjoyed the Zumba session led by professional fitness trainers.
With up-tempo music and thumping beats, the participants sweated it out in the 60 minutes session in the participating malls. The participants left the event feeling tired with goodie bags filled with a T-shirt, tote bag, vouchers, free products and also snacks and drinking water.
The Zumba Dance gatherings were held in AEON Mall Ipoh (Kinta City), Tebrau City (JB), Rawang and Kulaijaya (JB) on 15 April 2017; AEON Mall Cheras Selatan, AU2 (Setiawangsa), Ipoh Station 18 and Taiping on 16 April 2017; AEON Mall Bukit Raja, Seremban 2, Taman Equine, Bukit Indah (JB), Bandaraya Melaka and Bukit Mertajam on 22 April 2017 and AEON Mall Bukit Tinggi, Seri Manjung, Shah Alam and Ipoh Klebang on 23 April 2017.
