Kuala Lumpur, 12 December 2022– The Food Purveyor (TFP) have recently announced the departure of Chief Executive Officer, Geoff King, effective 30th November 2022. “Since 2018, Geoff has played a critical role in the development and success of the organization, and while we will miss him and his leadership, we wish him all the best in his decision to step down and progress his next ventures. We want to thank him for the years of dedicated service which involved many significant accomplishments,” said Ong Kim Too, Group Executive Chairman of TFP.
Geoff King, CEO, said: “I have had the pleasure of leading an amazing team of talented retailers over the past four years in building The Food Purveyor into the company it is today. Over this period, I’ve enjoyed collaborating with our many business partners in finding ways to serve our customers better. I want to thank everyone for their support during my tenure as CEO”.
TFP announced that Kok Kian Kee (also known as KK) is appointed as the new CEO of the company. An experienced business leader, KK will succeed Geoff and assumed responsibilities from 1st December 2022.
Kok Kian Kee has been with TFP as Chief Merchandising Officer since June 2020 and packed with a total of 32 years of experience in food retail across retail giants in the market.
“It was immediately clear that KK was the right fit,” said Ivan Tan, Group Executive Director of TFP. “With KK’s extensive retail background and business development skills, we believe his strong leadership and experience will lead us into a new era with a long-term strategy, better ecosystem and potential geographic expansion.”

While with TFP, KK has introduced commercial process and strategy improvement, cost optimization and an infamous Australian retail home brand exclusivity “Woolworths” that led to meeting business goals. KK’s extensive retail background foundation build from various major key retailers in Malaysia, Carrefour, Tesco Stores, Dairy Farm International, to name a few. KK has also worked oversea with Super Value Stores in Papua New Guinea. During his tenure in Dairy Farm International, he held the position of Head of Commercial Fresh Produce. He has developed and strategize SE Asia countries procurement plans on Fresh Produce.
