Petaling Jaya, 29 September 2020 – Road accidents are considered to be a major contribution to the statistics on causes of death in Malaysia. A shocking statistic shows that Malaysia’s estimated road traffic death rate is a solid 23.6 per 100,000 population according to the World Health Organization. To combat this issue, TAG La Technology has developed a Vehicle Data Analytics Platform called TRACK La which will help to stop the increasing number of road accidents.

TRACK La provides accurate data showing vehicle locations, idle and inactive time, rash driving and accelerating, vehicle driving speed, vehicle’s health condition, and driving behaviour analysis.

Drivers can review their trip statistics and weekly charts and constantly improve to become a better driver each day.

TRACK La dreams big and believes that Telematics has the power and it is the most scalable solution which can impact the whole world.

Many case studies have proven that Telematics indeed contributes to the reduction of road accidents rate, one of which says that there seems to be a statistically significant reduction in the number of accidents for several fleets in which the behaviour of the drivers was monitored in such a way that the drivers could also be confronted with their behaviour. Another study proves that accident rates for vehicles fitted with a monitoring device reduced by 20%, others found a reduction of 38% in accidents and the rate of specific unsafe driving behaviours reduced by up to 82% in one case. These are strong points that prove the competency of Telematics. This also helps if any governing body decides to implement any rules or regulations on transport policies, these data can be used as a solid support system to make precise decisions.

“Data by itself is useless, but if you can turn data into information, this is how you make great decisions in a complex situation” said Edison Lim, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of TRACK La.
