Malaysia’s largest wholesale centre, GM Klang now opens daily until 10 pm

A strategic move to strengthen its position as a community, wholesale and lifestyle hub in Klang.

Klang, 4 Nov 2025 – Malaysia’s largest wholesale centre, GM Klang has officially extended its operating hours to 10am to 10pm daily, marking its move toward becoming a vibrant community and lifestyle hub.

The launch ceremony was officiated by Datuk Abd Hamid Hussain, Mayor of the Royal Klang City Council (MBDK), and witnessed by Datuk Lim Seng Kok, Managing Director of GM Klang, as well as Chua Yee Ling, Tourism Selangor chief executive officer on November 1.

This meaningful occasion serves as a gesture of appreciation to the millions of customers who have been the heartbeat and foundation of GM Klang’s success since its establishment in 2009. GM Klang previously operated from 10am to 7pm on weekdays and until 8pm on weekends and public holidays.

Marking another historic moment, the event featured a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing ceremony between GM Klang and six new strategic partners in the sports, recreation, and lifestyle segments to strengthen its business ecosystem and expand lifestyle offerings.

According to Lim, the extension of operating hours reflects a pivotal evolution in enhancing the overall value offered to visitors.

“We’re not merely extending our hours, but we’re enriching the entire customer experience. This move is a direct response to the needs of both shoppers and wholesalers who are seeking greater time flexibility and a more seamless, comprehensive shopping environment. With the rapid development surrounding Bandar Botanic, Klang including the upcoming LRT3 line, now is the ideal time to propel GM Klang into its next phase as a premier wholesale and lifestyle tourism destination,” he said.

GM Klang organised cultural showcase, Ceritera Selangor, celebrating Selangor’s heritage.

To celebrate its new hours, GM Klang held Ceritera Selangor in collaboration with National Department for Culture and Arts Selangor, Tourism Selangor, and MBDK, a cultural showcase celebrating Selangor’s heritage, including Mah Meri and Cempuling performances and more, supporting the Visit Selangor Year 2025 campaign.

He further shared that GM Klang’s recent Gold Award recognition under the Malaysia Tourism Quality Assurance (MyTQA) fuels its commitment to continuously enhance service standards and customer satisfaction.

“With our strategic location and strong continuous community support, we are confident that GM Klang will continue to grow as Malaysia’s leading hub for wholesale, tourism and lifestyle, both locally and regionally,” he added.

To mark the new hours, GM Klang ntroduced several programmes:
