China-ASEAN Forum in Kuala Lumpur Advances Regional AI and Edge Computing Collaboration

Kuala Lumpur, 17 June 2025 – The China–ASEAN AI Technology Capacity Building and Edge Computing Infrastructure Cooperation Forum launched its activities in Kuala Lumpur on June 6, 2025 to unite more than 300 officials and technology experts and scholars and business representatives from China and ASEAN countries for AI and edge computing future prospects discussions.

China–ASEAN Information Harbor Co., Ltd. organized the forum which focused on “Smart Future, Innovation Opportunities” to promote digital economy strategic cooperation.

Zhang Tingting from China–ASEAN Information Harbor began the event by discussing how AI is rapidly transforming the world while edge computing serves as a key enabler of this transformation. She stressed that China and ASEAN must establish bilateral innovation partnerships to achieve sustainable and inclusive technological development.

The China–ASEAN Information Harbor Malaysia AI Computing Center emerged as a major achievement because it functions as a regional intelligent computing service hub. The ceremony included the signing of the “Metaverse Computing Power AI Strategic Cooperation Agreement” between Planet Hares and Nexus Computing which established a solid base for international cooperation in next-generation technologies.

The forum introduced several advanced products including the Smart Box S1 which functions as a small AI computing device for smart cities and digital infrastructure edge applications.

A roundtable discussion called “Empowering Industrial Upgrading through AI and Edge Technologies” brought together academic and industrial and governmental experts to share their expertise about current applications and upcoming developments.

The technical session received extensive interest through presentations including:

*WGSC Vice Chair presented “The New Global Standard for Digital Asset Certification” at the forum.

*Planet Hares presented “Building the Immersive AI Metaverse with Edge Computing” as their main topic.

*Nexus delivered a presentation about Web3 Sharing Economy and Edge Network Construction.

*UtilityNet presented “Distributed Computing with POCI Consensus and TPU Architecture” as their main topic.

*PPIO presented “The Future of CDN and Edge Computing in Southeast Asia” as their main topic.

The “Excellent AI Agents” segment gained attention by demonstrating how AI technologies can solve personal finance and debt resolution problems to improve daily life.

The forum participants confirmed their commitment to strengthen China–ASEAN digital connections particularly through AI applications and edge computing infrastructure and international partnerships.
