Famed watchmakers Bell & Ross – acclaimed for their uniquely designed timepieces recently announced their participation in the 7th edition of the Only Watch charity auction, to be held on November 11th at Four Seasons Hotel des Bergues in Geneva.
This year, for the Only Watch charity auction, Bell & Ross is offering thrill seeking fans and collectors of fine watches a one-of-a-kind experience: the chance to get a first-hand look behind the scenes at one of the foremost motor racing competitions, the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix at the end of November.
Fashioned specifically for the occasion, Bell & Ross, the official watchmaking partner of the Renault Sport Formula One™ Team engineered the BR-X1 RS17 Only Watch – sourcing inspiration from the latest in technological advancements and avant-garde materials found in the motorsports industry.
The BR-X1 RS17 Only Watch is mechanically structured to suit the vigorous demands of race drivers without compromising on its suave design. Fitted with grey-tinted sapphire crystal as its surface, the eye catching skeleton mechanism allows its gears to be visually savoured with exquisite clarity. The skeleton chronograph movement combines haute horlogerie finishes and extreme lightness – making it all the more desirable. The instrument also features an innovative design, with a carbon case protected by a “belt” made from high-tech ceramic and rubber which acts as a guard.
The swanky watch contains a dial adorned with the colours of Renault Sport Formula One™ Team R.S.17 car’s on-board instruments. The “rocker” type push-buttons, used for activating the chronograph function, allows for great accuracy. The pushers, made out of high-tech ceramics and capped with yellow rubber provides the best grip for the wearer. In addition, the bezel features a tachymeter scale – a measuring device used to calculate race speeds.
As well as acquiring this unique model, the lucky bidder will be invited to join the Renault Sport Formula One™ Team, at the last race of the championship in Abu Dhabi at the end of November. The guest will be welcomed by the team, meet the drivers and also receive race gloves worn by the spectacular Nico Hülkenberg at the Grand Prix.
