KUALA LUMPUR, 18 October 2019 – Bandar Baru Setia Awan Perdana (BBSAP) was
recently accorded the Best Affordable Development for phase one at the recent iProperty
Development Excellence Awards (iDEA) 2019.

The award was received by Dato’ Jimmy Doh, the Executive Director of Setia Awan Group
which is responsible for the BBSAP project. Some 1,147 single-storey terrace houses were
built in the first phase of the project which is earmarked as an affordable housing township encompassing a total acreage of 1,023 in Simpang Lima, Sitiawan in Perak.

BBSAP is the single largest master-planned township with more than 10,000 affordable
landed homes. This accolade was the result of the team’s success in planning, mapping out and the timely construction of the township.

“Never has there been an affordable housing township in Malaysia that’s affordable yet packed to the brim with quality amenities and facilities that are usually only found in higher-end developments. We believe that the bar has been raised whereby despite its price, these are quality homes for families to live in comfortably and be assured of quality build,” Doh said.

Held on October 9, at the St. Regis Hotel, Kuala Lumpur, the awards ceremony is a
recognition of par excellence in property development. The event was attended by more
than 450 professionals from the real estate industry and development firms.

“Homes in our satellite township start from RM135,000 and currently, all units in phases 2
and 3 are nearly sold out. What we’re proud of in Bandar Baru Setia Awan Perdana is the
inclusion and construction of key facilities like a clubhouse, retail and self-contained
commercial and government offices, as well as a wellness and green lung feature in our
township,” Doh added.

Among the other amenities that will be found in BBSAP is a mosque, school, a shopping
mall, a tropical lake garden, a petrol station, reputable international branded fast food
restaurants and many more attractions.

“We are very proud to be recognised for the first phase of our project and this will serve as further motivation to producing more quality homes within the township as well as in our future township projects,” Doh said.
