Malaysia, 12th December 2019 – Dr Shana Yong, 42, and Subhashini Rama Linggam, 38, beat their competitors to win the ‘Mrs Malaysia Global Universe 2019/2020’ and ‘Mrs Asia Global Universe 2019/2020’ title at the grand finale held in Johor Bahru. The pageant which was organized by Lumiere International saw 17 beautiful Malaysians mothers competing against each other with a series of challenges including self-introduction, kebaya catwalk, evening gown and the Q&A session as well as sharing their initiatives for charity.
Founder of Lumiere International, Justina Quek was excited to see more Malaysian mothers taking more responsibilities and making extra efforts to make our local society a better place.
“Our pageant is not just a competition of beauty as beauty is skin deep. Our pageant brings forward our Malaysian real superheroes – mothers who have many roles to play in the society to become idols not only for their children and family but to others too. We want more Malaysian mothers to step up and project their beautiful physique as well as their beautiful hearts and souls,” said Quek to the media.
“Beauty, beyond own self. When one door shuts completely in life, another brighter light will shine through from another door. It is our inner power to decide our faith that is beyond our capability when we believe in ourselves…be pious and devout, women empowerment is achievable.” said Dr Shana Yong.
Dr Shana Yong hailed from Kuala Lumpur, is a PhD. holder from Taylor’s Business School, majoring in Business. The mother of two boys, aged 8 and 13 currently works for Hong Leong Bank.
Dr Shana Yong won the main title of “Mrs Malaysia Global Universe 2019/2020”, which came with two special awards, the “Asia Pacific Queen of Substance Diamond Queen Award 2019”, and “Queen of Peoples Choice” and one subsidiary title, “Mrs Elegance”

While Subhashini Rama Linggam, hailing from Seri Kembangan Selangor, has a LLB (Hons) Northumbria University, Newcastle UK and currently working as a Human Resource Business Partner in Adecco Group. She is a proud mother of a girl aged 9 and a boy aged 2.
Subhashini Rama Linggam won the main title “Mrs Asia Global Universe 2019/2020” and two special awards – ”Mrs Charity Queen, Asia Pacific Queen of Substance Diamond Queen Award” and two subsidiary titles : “Mrs Lady of Empowerment” and “Mrs Social media Influencer” .
Both Dr Shana Yong and Madam Subhashini Rama Linggam , will be representing Malaysia and Asia to compete in the Mrs Global Universe 2020 world finale in 15th March 2020 together with 30 countries delegates from all over the world.
