KUALA LUMPUR, 13 June 2019 – It is always a treat to be able to spend a day or two in a
new country but if you’re pressed for time, the Discover Kuala Lumpur package may present the perfect avenue to experience the capital city of Malaysia.

The package is a collaboration between Express Rail Link Sdn Bhd (ERL) and KL Hop-On
Hop-Off. It includes a KLIA Ekspres Return Ticket and a round trip on the KL Hop-On Hop-Off bus. Priced at RM65 for children between ages two and 12, and RM140 for adults, it is the quickest way to experience the city for transiting passengers with at least eight hours of waiting time at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA & KLIA2). The package is also an ideal way for first-time visitors to Kuala Lumpur to experience a flexible city tour at their own pace.

“KLIA Ekspres is always looking at ways to provide better value for our customers through the various collaborative initiatives, and Discover Kuala Lumpur is one of the many offerings that we have planned out for 2019” ERL CEO, Noormah Mohd Noor said.

Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture Malaysia YB Datuk Mohamaddin Ketapi launched

Chief Executive Officer of Elang Wah Sdn Bhd, Tuan Syed Azhar Syed Nadzir said, “The demanding and thoughtful post-globalization era has contributed to drastic changes in the public transport system. In this sophisticated era, modern transport systems are increasingly affecting the lives of the people. Hence, the existence of KL Hop On Hop Off in Kuala Lumpur is to facilitate tourism industry travel. This is in line with the objective of Visit Malaysia Year 2020 (VMY2020). We always offer the best packages and services for tourists. With this collaboration, we are confident in changing the future of the tourism industry.”

The Discover Kuala Lumpur initiative is also supported by Malaysia Airports in their effort
to promote inbound tourism and easy connection into the city. By offering this package, their transiting passengers have an added option of making a quick visit to the city, with the hope of enticing them to make Malaysia their next holiday destination.

Depending on the time available before their next flight, Discover Kuala Lumpur’s flexibility allows visitors to disembark from the bus to savor local delicacies that Malaysia is famous for, visit historical and popular landmarks in the city or even buy souvenirs.

The tour, conducted in English, will ply two routes – the Garden Route and the City Route
which will take about two hours each depending on the traffic conditions. It operates on the “hop on, hop off” approach allowing participants of the tour to get off and on the bus at any stop they choose within 24 hours of their voucher redemption.
