PETALING JAYA, July 28 – Naza Eastern Motors partners with FLUX to expand Suzuki’s vehicle subscription offering in Malaysia, with the company looking at the model contributing about 20% of Suzuki’s vehicle sales volume annually in the long term.

FLUX, a Malaysian vehicle subscription startup, allows customers to access vehicles through fixed monthly payments, covering costs such as insurance, road tax, servicing and maintenance.

Naza Automotive Group Chief Executive Officer Mohd Rizal Jailan said the subscription model would complement Suzuki’s existing offering by providing customers with a broader range of options.

“We are looking at 20% of our total vehicle sales volume per year coming through this kind of subscription model. However, the target would depend on customer response.

“This is still at the beginning stage and we want to see how it flows for now,” he said in an interview with Newstreamasia on the sidelines of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing, held yesterday.

Rizal said the model would allow Naza to serve customers who want access to Suzuki vehicles without a long-term commitment.

“Malaysia still pretty much has an ownership kind of arrangement. But we have seen that there is a certain gap which we can fill, meaning there is a market that wants to enjoy the vehicle without long term commitment,” he said.

The partnership will initially introduce the Suzuki Fronx 1.5 Hybrid and Suzuki Jimny AllGrip Plus on the FLUX platform.

The Suzuki Fronx is a hybrid crossover designed for urban driving, while the Suzuki Jimny AllGrip Plus is a compact four-wheel-drive vehicle aimed at customers seeking lifestyle and adventure use.

As part of the collaboration, FLUX will also be introduced at selected Suzuki dealerships, allowing customers to explore the subscription model alongside conventional vehicle purchase options.

Rizal said the dealership presence would help customers better understand how the subscription model works.

“Not every customer who visits a Suzuki showroom is ready for a traditional purchase. With FLUX in our dealerships, our teams can explain how subscription works and help customers decide what suits their circumstances,” he said.

Meanwhile, FLUX Founder and Chief Executive Officer Aziz Ayman said the partnership comes as subscription-based services become more common across different industries.

He said the model allows customers to pay a fixed monthly fee while covering key vehicle-related costs such as insurance, road tax and maintenance.

Following the collaboration, both companies will begin rolling out the initial Suzuki fleet on the FLUX platform, supported by initiatives through digital channels and Suzuki dealerships nationwide.

To mark the partnership and Malaysia’s 69th Merdeka celebration, FLUX is offering a 69% reduction on the first and final month’s subscription for selected 24 to 36-month plans for the Suzuki Fronx and Suzuki Jimny AllGrip Plus until Sept 6, 2026.

Under the offer, the Suzuki Fronx 1.5 Hybrid will be available at RM690 for the first and final month, compared with the normal monthly fee of RM2,225 under the 36-month plan. The Suzuki Jimny AllGrip Plus will be offered at RM1,016 for the first and final month, compared with the normal monthly fee of RM3,278.
