SERI KEMBANGAN, May 15 – Angka-Tan Motor, the authorised distributor of Foton trucks in Malaysia, made its latest push into the Malaysian market today with the launch of a new light-duty truck fitted with Automated Manual Transmission, a first for any Chinese truck brand in the country.
The Foton Aumark S Euro 5 AMT is priced at RM128,800 with a six-year or 300,000 km warranty.
Angka-Tan Motor, a Warisan TC Holdings subsidiary, has been Foton’s distributor in Malaysia since 2011. Foton Motor Group is a Beijing-based commercial vehicle manufacturer.
Warisan TC Holdings Bhd Chief Executive Officer James Tan said the company aims to become a key player in the light commercial vehicle segment by capturing a significant market share and delivering products that meet the demands of modern businesses.
“This new addition represents our commitment to innovation and to delivering practical solutions that support businesses across the logistics and transportation ecosystem,” he said at the launch, held on the sidelines of the Malaysia Commercial Vehicle Expo 2026 yesterday. The launch was officiated by Transport Minister Anthony Loke.
Safety features include Anti-lock Braking System, Anti-Slip Regulation and Hill Start Assist. The cab meets ECE R29 occupant protection standards and has been tested over three million kilometres across diverse conditions.
The Aumark S Euro 5 AMT is the second model under Foton’s AMT lineup in Malaysia, following the Auman R Euro 5 AMT introduced for the heavy-duty segment in November last year. Angka-Tan Motor’s lineup also includes the Foton eAumark electric truck and the Foton Bus, reinforcing its position as a key contributor to local industry development.
Foton vehicles in Malaysia are supported by Tan Chong Group’s service network, with access to nationwide servicing, genuine parts, driver training, one-stop repair and insurance services, and 24-hour Res-Q roadside assistance.
