Kuala Lumpur, 10 April 2026 – The National Tech Association of Malaysia  (PIKOM) today has launched the PIKOM Digital Excellence Awards (PDEA)  2026, expanding its focus to reflect the fast-growing digital innovation landscape across industries.

The launch held in conjunction with PIKOM’ 40th anniversary will feature the diversity of today’s digital economy, including advancements in artificial  intelligence, cybersecurity, cloud and data infrastructure, ESG-driven innovation, and  sector-wide digital transformation.

Now firmly established as a premier platform recognising digital innovation, the  Awards continue to gain momentum, with 33 winners in 2024 and 52 winners in  2025, signalling the growing depth and maturity of Malaysia’s technology  ecosystem.

“As the digital landscape evolves, so must the way we recognise excellence. The  Awards this year are more inclusive and forward-looking—capturing innovation that  delivers real impact across industries,” said Adjunct Practice Professor Alex Liew,  Chairman of PIKOM.

The Awards will be evaluated by a panel of distinguished judges, carefully selected  to ensure an impartial, rigorous, and merit-based assessment process.

The Awards have demonstrated strong international standing, with past winners  going on to receive recognition at global platforms such as World Innovation,  Technology and Services Alliance (WITSA) Global Innovation and Tech  Excellence Awards, Asian-Oceanian Computing Industry Organization (ASOCIO) Awards and Asia Pacific ICT Alliance (APICTA) Awards — reinforcing Malaysia’s  position as a competitive digital hub.

While several companies have consistently emerged as winners across recent  editions, PIKOM emphasised that new challengers are strongly encouraged to  participate, reflecting the dynamic and ever-evolving nature of the industry.

To broaden participation nationwide, PIKOM will organise roadshows in Penang,  Johor, Kota Kinabalu, and Kuching, aimed at uncovering innovation from across  Malaysia.

As global trends accelerate—from enterprise AI adoption to heightened focus on  cybersecurity resilience and digital trust—PDEA 2026 seeks to recognise  organisations that are not only adapting, but leading transformation.

Nominations are now open and will close on 12 June 2026, with winners to be  announced at the Awards Gala Dinner on 10 September 2026.
