KUALA LUMPUR, 15 April 2025 – Malaysian growing AI firm Laurea People’s Signature Sdn Bhdhas secured international contracts in France and Oman to deliver next-generation AI security systems tailored for the infrastructure, finance, and surveillance sectors.
This win marks a major milestone in the company’s global expansion into security technology, while also highlighting Malaysia’s rising status as a hub for high-value, ethical, and regulation-compliant AI solutions.
In Oman, LPS is set to implement a real-time monitoring system for energy and transportation infrastructure. The AI system uses anomaly detection to identify threats and operational irregularities. Early testing has already shown a 35% drop in false alerts, helping decision-makers act faster and more confidently.
Meanwhile in France, the company has introduced an AI-powered fraud detection and compliance automation platform for financial institutions. The system is helping reduce manual reporting workloads by up to 50% while ensuring full alignment with key global standards such as General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and anti-money laundering (AML) regulations.
With further expansion into Singapore and Southeast Asia planned by Q4 2025—and two new AI security products launching in 2026—LPS is well-positioned to scale its impact globally.
Its chief executive officer Nisha Meng Ming Li emphasized the company’s commitment to developing secure, ethical, and practical technology. “LPS solutions are consistently shaped by core values such as integrity, accountability, innovation, and purpose,” she said.
These projects highlight LPS’s strength in building scalable, privacy-first AI systems. The company uses a mix of Explainable AI (XAI), Federated Learning, and Edge Computing to make its platforms fast, transparent, and regulation-ready.
Another ongoing pilot involves an intelligent surveillance system combining facial recognition, video analysis, and behavior tracking. This system is being tested with a European security firm and a Middle Eastern government agency to improve public safety in busy areas.
The success of these international projects supports Malaysia’s MyDIGITAL vision, which aims to establish the country as a regional tech powerhouse. With affordable infrastructure, skilled talent, and a neutral global position, Malaysia is becoming an ideal launchpad for AI technologies.
“We’re proud to prove that Malaysian innovation can lead the way globally. It’s not just about technology—it’s about building solutions that are responsible, practical, and ready for the world stage,” Nisha added.
A partner involved in the French project shared, “Laurea’s system revealed critical risks we couldn’t see before—all while keeping our data secure.”
LPS welcomes collaboration opportunities with governments, security firms, and enterprise-level clients seeking transformative AI solutions.
